PEARL was brought to the shelter in Jacksonville unable to stand up after being hit by a car. They asked for Rescues’ help. Our JAX coordinator worked with MANY other volunteers to transport her south to our vet in Ft. Lauderdale. Her pelvic bone was broken in 3 places !! Her fur was coming out in clumps and needed a good bath and grooming. Moving Pearl. was a labor of love . She stayed at our vets clinic for many weeks of healing and therapy. A Collie Club member noticed her there and started to visit. She quickly decided that ‘Pearl, Jackie’, now MISTY, was the girl for her and became her ‘Mommie’ 3 months later.
