MISSY
STAY TUNED FOR MORE HAPPY TAILES
Brownie was recently pulled from Miami Dade Animal  Control (MAC) She was so terrified that she plastered herself to the walls and floor. She would not move and had to be carried out of the cage for photos. Though not totally looking like a collie, I could not leave her there. She had NO hope for adoption. She rode well in the car, but would not get out of the van! I brought out Gabe, hoping to entice her to exit. No dice! I finally ‘walked her on her hind legs to the patio where she found the nearest large pots and buried herself behind them. I opened the front door a bit and allowed a nose or too to peek into the patio She was curious and edged her way to the door....very slowly. “sniff, sniff” hummmm  ...collies! more sniff, sniff... hey this ain’t so bad!! I allowed a couple of the dogs into the patio and that was all it took! Within an hour she was “at home” and running with the other kids.
Brownie is the first white and mostly sable collie I have ever seen. I am sure there is some other breed in there somewhere, but who cares. She behaves like a collie, is smart as a whip (can whips be smart?), and absolutely a total love!
Once altered, this cute pup will be available for adoption. And some family will be VERY lucky!!!
Missy was rescued from a PET SHOP by another group. We fostered her for them and found her a great home. Dogs found in pet shops are all too often products of PUPPY MILLS! Missy was getting too old to sell and would eventually have ended up at Animal Services..... if she was lucky!
Instead she is now living with a great family and has a “Timmie” all her own!
